Sounds great on paper but it's less than the sum of its parts.
Completely bloodless and without heart or momentum. It goes for witty, ironic detachment but the dialogue isn't sharp enough to sustain it.
Barring Goldblum the performances are so uniformly bland it's hard not to suspect they were poorly directed. I've typically enjoyed Joan Micklin Silver but this was an early miss.

Very enjoyable if slightly unevenly paced.
This definitely doesn't deserve to be as critically maligned as it was. I like that they didn't make Charles Grodin a villian, just a three dimensional character that wasn't the right fit. And a razzie nom for a script that doesn't have one purely expository character? V confusing.
