    Bong Joon-ho's new film is a melting pot of dark sci-fi, political satire, love story and more besides. About as subtle as a brick through a window and rather idiosyncratic but entertaining.

    Robert Pattinson and Naomi Ackie are great together, meanwhile Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette are having fun chewing the scenery.

    Conclave is a meticulously crafted drama essentially set in one location, a location pretty much everyone will be familiar with, but retains enough mystery to add to the intrigue.

    At the same time, as various reviews demonstrate, it also features developments that are almost memeworthy. These moments made all the more potent because of how this is primarily played very straight.
