I love this movie, so much so that I've seen it twice. It has atmosphere, mesmerizing art-making, a completely organic-seeming mother-child portrayal--quite a feat--and skin-crawling creepy characters. It's a slow burn, a tale of unease, until it isn't, and then it becomes a true, full-blown horror.
