  Babygirl explores a deeper level of human affinity with the transparency that most producers today wouldn’t dare to employ.

  Does it have a happy ending? Not really. A realistic ending? Probably not. An ending that opens up the conversation about healthier relationship management by criticizing negative stigmatizations about sexuality? Definitely.

  A24 never disappoints when it comes to defying expectations about how characters should act in cinema. In fact, their characters often feel too authentic, which is a bit disturbing.
