Sobbed for an hour on the floor after this. Simply beautiful story telling. Growing apart from family is hard but natural. It’s not a theme I’ve seen explored in such depth before but resonated so so heavily. Made me wanna call mum. It's hard to talk about this film without mentioning the obvious. It is of course increasingly more relevant in the TikToker/YouTuber era. Lumet's films always feel like getting to know somebody. At first you don't think they'll impact your life, then you start to warm up to them, you begin to understand them. You find yourself more and more infatuated with them every minute. Then bam it's over and your sad but so glad it happened.
