  Got emotional when Wallace called Gromit “me best pal”

  I just think Wallace should be quicker to trust Gromit at this point

  Kind of feels like a short stretched out to feature length but that last 20-30 minutes whips. Love spending time with my close personal friends Wallace and Gromit.

  Squirrels to the Nuts Director's Cut: Better than the original, more time to breathe, feels more organic, more Austin Pendleton hijinks, however there is no insane Quentin Tarantino cameo so ya win some, ya lose some. Still struggle to think of many performances more charming that Imogen Poots in this.

  Lots of potential ultimately wasted thanks to poor direction from Russell. He wants this movie to be a lot of things - buddy comedy, heist film, trenchant commentary on militarism - but ends up succeeding on none of those fronts. Dude is just thoroughly out of his depth the stylized violence trivializes every point the film aims to make. Not a fan.
