I'm not sure why I watched this...but I did.

Pros:
-Good score
- Some really cool shots, reminiscent of a well done music video
- Anthony Hopkins
- An interesting question about the value of life and pain

Cons:
-Meh, it was fine but not great.
- Not enough Jeffrey Dean Morgan
- Showed the definition of the word solace as part.of the opening credits which just felt...annoying.

A cute concept but an obvious execution. I fell asleep but moreso because I was tired. This movie is cute, funny, and has some great gore. I'll watch it again and try stay awake the whole time. No promises.

I don't even want to review this. I truly loved it and thought it was great, but this review from Dylan Thomsen made me laugh out loud, so I am re-printing it here:

" I liked the part where the Dad dives down into the lake and finds baby Pearl sitting in the mouth of a big clam."

I loved this. When the trailer came out several months ago, I was hooked, I was ready. I was not disappointed.

The trailer does a wonderful job of giving you just a little bit but the movie takes you in different directions than you're prepared for. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Go see it.

WARNING: There is a scene with a very wounded animal in it, it's not super gory but if you are sensitive to that, be aware.
