Supremely average. I didn't hate it; didn't love it. Still not a huge fan of Roger Moore. Has a few pretty great action scenes, but also one of the lamest opening songs I've heard from the franchise so far.

Miami Connection 1987
A very enjoyable piece of entertainment, even while it's clearly terrible by most conventional standards. Like the best of its kind, this works because of the sincerity and commitment to the bit. For the right time and with the right audience, the rating could go much higher.

Quickly became my favourite of the early Cronenbergs. Appreciated the personal subject matter and the slow build towards the climax. Just really connected with the look and feel of this. It's not hurt by that intense Howard Shore score either. The structure is surprisingly traditional and this feels more like a capital h Horror movie than a lot of Cronenberg's films, but it's rich in underlying themes and it's definitely found a home in my brain.

I didn’t expect this to hit as hard as it did, with the events spinning out from what seems like a silly premise. I’m finding it hard to organize my thoughts about this character... the movie seems to constantly dare you to laugh at him and then quickly reminds you that his weaknesses are traits we’ve probably all shared or related to at some point in our lives.
