  Still marinating on this tbh. A new favourite and has the potential to be a 5 star film for me. Need to wait and see how I feel with time. Will definitely watch again very soon. Feel like I still need to process.

  Fascinating to see a handful of two star reviews on this from blokes who haven't quite come to terms with the fact that they've spent their whole lives trying to be Jacob but even Antonio Banderas can't have it all.

  In terms of being an entertaining watch, this is a pretty easy ride. Relaxed, fairly enjoyable and occasionally funny. However, the film lacks depth in its debate on feminism. For a moment it skirts the surface of a more interesting discussion around the intersection of feminism with race and how different privilege can intersect. Unfortunately, it feels more of an afterthought and consequently, there's not much to take away here.
