Park Hoon-jung claims to have seen the Godfather trilogy hundreds of times, and I don't doubt him. I can't help but shake the vibe that he saw the Godfather movies, thought "wow that's cool", and tried to take all the superficially cool bits and chuck them into a badass gangsta movie. Probably the easiest way to make me irrationally upset in a short space of time would be to say "oh Antz isn't that the cheap failed dreamworks ripoff of A Bug's Life???". Uhhhgh. First, Antz may not have done as well as A Bug's Life did in the box office, but it was better received critically and just generally the superior film.
