It's not even the movie itself but rather the feelings that came to me during and the feelings that sticked with me after... The feeling of pure obsession and the power it has... to destroy everything. As a spectator one cannot do anything but witness how everything unfolds with sweaty palms.   Ever since I’ve seen this movie, it’s been haunting me like an old picture would do in your head. Probably because it hit too close to home, attacking me in the most personal way possible, forcing me to face the picture. The picture doesn’t physically exist but it is as real as you in your mind. I think the reason people cannot leave 2046 is that they can’t break this picture down. It’s like an obstacle they can’t see but…

  In spite of being far from scary, it is surprisingly so endearing that it earned the position to be one of the rarest movies I'd watch over and over again without getting bored.
