  John Hurt's very first film role at the age of 22. He was beautiful and vulnerable, portraying Phil, the outcast of this circle of friends.

  Herman Brood (1946-2001) was a rebellious figure in the Dutch underground scene, the decadent prince who lived on speed and whisky while doing paintings and penning some amazing songs. This film features Brood, his friends and two outlandishly dressed international sirens; Nina Hagen and Lene Lovich.

  The whole thing is highly surreal, bizarre and challenging to watch if you - like myself - don't speak Dutch.
