  A hollow reproduction of the original magic of its source material. A musical can be a movie but by making it marvelified cgi airbrushed slop it becomes just another forgetful live action expense line in the coffers of the system the musical rallies against. It washes out everything that makes the musical good. The drums should be louder. The scary parts should be scarier. The colours should be brighter.
