  “Protect Glyophosate” reads billboards across Missouri currently. Cargill and other fuckers thought this phrase would get the public to back tort reform specifically to protect their industry. That indecipherable phrase will probably work bc of lawyers like Arthur in this movie and they’ve taught the public to hate plaintiff’s attorneys and class actions even though they are some of the last remaining soldiers in the fight against our corporate oligarchs.

  Malick has an innate ability to see all the ways humans and other living things commune with nature even during experiences which seem to have nothing to do with the natural world, such as attempting to blow up a machine gun pillbox on a rock in the middle of the ocean or dying on the upslope of a hill surrounded by the most gorgeous tall grasses on the planet. What an ensemble but especially Nolte who gives a great performance as a desperate colonel wanting his moment in the South Pacific sun.

  Don’t Tell Me Nothing montage into the Grady Seasons game is Scorsese at his coked out max and incredible. I would wear 100% of Fast Eddie’s outfits in this but would be 3% as cool. Every single place they waltz into has 25 yrs of grime, blood, tears, smoke stains from Pall Mall Lights, and the smell of cash on the walls and pillars and doors.
