  Back when Tim Burton films were mediocre instead of bad....well honestly I quite like this flick. The gothic horror aesthetic paired with a homage to Hammer films (Christopher Lee even has a little cameo) let's me re-watch this film every now and then.

  I have a strange relationship with this flick. I love it, but it's dumb. It's beautiful, but boring. The plot is incoherent at best and annoyingly stupid at worst. But the effects are outstanding and beautiful....so...I still love it I guess.
