I really enjoyed this. Directed by Elric Kane, Co-host of 2 of my fav ever Pods, I’ve been really looking forward to seeing this. I did want to see it at Frightfest in London, but sadly had to work that day.
I was originally going to go in to this blind but,  decided to watch the trailer. That certainly left me intrigued.
The music and visuals are really grab you from the start. The film has enough Art house…

I saw this at just the right age as a kid. Obviously, part 1 is the best in the franchise, but, this just hits my sweet spot. Its pacing is on point and just moves. Yes, it makes no sense and has major plot holes.  But, who cares, it’s just pure fun. All the cast are really likeable and really look like they are having the time of their life.

This has some great jump scares and really good atmosphere.  Easily as good as the first but, I feel, for me, the climax just fell flat.
The long monologue by the main bad guy/spirit, really takes a huge misstep and strips all the dread and is just a let down.

This was the first slasher I ever saw as a very young kid. So I am probably a little biased but, I think this is perfect in every way. Really likeable characters, a human, clumsy Jason, with a creepy bag head.
Plus, for me, THE best final girl in all of slasherdom. Ginny is amazing, just magic in every scene. Everyone has their favourite Fridays. But for me, this is mine. Proper cozy, comfort horror.
