  working at the Warehouse core (back when i had a job). sincerely beautiful, all the performances are so different but share an undercurrent of restless anxiety and resentment. the cinematography is if edward hopper had endured the indignity of a cubicle. bittersweet, subtle comedy.

  pretty flimsy script that doesnt rlly have much going on; all the tensions and conflicts are breezed through pretty easily, the non linear storytelling honestly works against the film’s favour at times and the depth of the characters is asserted through facts about them (ranging from absurd world champion ice skater to the undercooked divorce of it all) rather than actual things they do throughout the movie. 

  BUT. it’s lowkey charming. i think theres a place for this sort of pornographic genre of beautiful people experiencing sadness that makes life beautiful. and i thought it was funny and sweet at times. thanks executive producer benedict cumberbatch!

  awesome to watch this movie w two respected older women in my life. also if i ever redownload the dating apps, euthanise me.
