I watched The Substance, the body horror film directed by Coralie Fargeat and I have some thoughts about it.
I thought the violence and gore was waaaaaaaaaaaaay over the top, yes I very aware it's supposed to be a graphic body horror movie but it gets to a point when I feel like, "do we need all this gore, isn't it a bit too much", it just felt very excessive.

Dune 2021
Dune (2021) is a sci-fi political dystopian film directed by Denis Villeneuve. I never read the novel but I was pleasantly surprised by this movie going into it. Stunning visuals, superb acting, strong atmospheric sound design, and impressive set design. I only wish I watched this movie on Imax.
