The shot of the fucking crumbs on his lap from the very beginning cemented for me that this was something else. A movie defined by almost no dialogue contains my favorite scene of pure dialogue I’ve ever seen. This is a really hard watch, it’s a very necessary watch I think. It’s not only incredibly important subject matter, but I think should be the standard for the type of sincerity and severity required to depict stories of this nature. It got to me.

Memories of Murder 2003
I think this is the most perfectly shot movie of all time. Genuinely every possible cut goes to the best possible framing, angle, focus, just everything they could possibly do as perfectly as they could for that moment. If I made a movie I’d want it to look like this.
