  This is I believe my tenth Kurosawa film. That would be impressive except that’s only a third of his whole output.

  Swoosh. Another easy layup for Akira K. Shoutout to Mifune. And THE BARD OF AVON. 
  
  
  But seriously, Shakespeare and Kurosawa go together very well. They’re both so grandiose but also earthly. And I’m not at all surprised at how effectively Throne of Blood handled the spirit having earlier this year seen Kurosawa’s late masterpiece, Dreams, which is just soaked in ghosts.
