Starts off great but loses a ton of steam in the second half. Acting was subpar. I feel like this was definitely an inspiration for the first Friday the 13th. It was a decent watch. Blood looked great! :)

The Haunted Palace 1963
A definite stand out of the Corman poe films, mostly because it’s more based on Lovecraft. The body horror and black magic definitely sets this film apart, while still maintaining a spooky atmosphere and gothic style, that keeps in line with the others. Lon Chaney was a big plus, and Vincent Price is definitely at his best when he gets to play a sadistic asshole. :)

Them! 1954
THEM! The best of the Giant Insect genre. Has great characters, great effects, some early 50s blood, and amazing action sequences. The Ants look so good, and even better when they get caught on fire. The sound design is on point. I would recommend Them! to anyone trying to get into monster movies, and it makes one hell of a Misfits song. :)
