It prolly hits harder as an unsullied, angsty 17 year old or a sexually frustrated 19 year old, but as a sullied, medicated 30 year old with a shot attention span and energy of a parent who doesn’t get enough sleep, it just doesn’t quite land.

The Wave 2008
Despite being thoroughly impressed with the performances, the story, script, and direction in general, I was as thinking this timeline was a bit rushed and was a bit on the nose ….
… But then learned this is based off a real in-school experiment that exploded into local society over the course of a week in 1960’s America (of all places, of course). That dissuades all gripes I had and I enjoy it even more. Very much recommended.

So fuckin terrible. I loved it.
Josh hartnett traps a man in his basement. The police trap Josh hartnett at a concert. The pop star traps Josh hartnett with his phone. Josh hartnett traps the pop star in his bathroom. Allison pill traps Josh hartnett with her plan.
But worst of all, M Night trapped me in still, silent theater where I had to constantly cackle under my breath as to not ruin the movie for everyone else who was taking this movie seriously.
