It starts off somber and slowly as it builds. It really go's in some unexpected places. Using a unique mix of science and body horror themes. Dan Stevens’s character choices are always interesting. Definitely glosses over some important details to keep the narrative going but it's still an overall enjoyable experience.

Diablo Cody and Zelda Williams successfully channeling Tim Burton. It’s a cute female friendly teen pseudo slasher with heart. Everybody needs a friend who would sew your body parts back together.
Selfish kid pulls a Mrs. Doubtfire when he gets kicked off the hockey team. Everybody gets mad at him for the dumbest reasons and they keep giving him chores.
