Clooney understood the assignment.
One of Tarantino’s most purely entertaining scripts. The tonal shift and glaring flaws aside, this is highly rewatchable.
It’s also noteworthy that Quentin wrote a scene where he sucks on Salma Hayek’s feet and he still denies the allegations.

This was a lot of bone crunching and blood splattered fun.
There is a chunk in the middle of the film that is totally unneccessary, and it brings down the momentum for a while. Thankfully the 3rd act is solid.
Also there’s a twist I didn’t see coming, but it did remove a lot of tension from the goals of the protagonist.
Jack Quaid is always amazing, though and he really carries the action here towards a really fun time on the big screen.
