Ooh, this one took a sharp downward turn from the other three “new ones.” I’m not a fan of AI being the villain (not that I’m a fan of AI, it just doesn’t make for compelling villainy to me) or a secret bad guy from Ethan’s past that was the catalyst of his whole IMF career but actually this is the first we’ve ever heard of him. This one had too many action sequences that unfortunately made my eyes glaze…

The Player 1992
UGH, give me a break. 🙄
Too little suspense to be a thriller, too little humor to be a comedy, and the wildly tongue in cheek ending ruined any chances of it being a smart film. How it has this high of a rating on Letterboxd I’ll never know.
Do yourself a favor and skip this movie if it’s not too late!Translated from by -
Mickey 17 2025
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I wanted to LOVE this movie, but it ended up being hit and miss for me.
All of Tenet’s Robert Pattinson’s work in making me wildly attracted to him was shot to pieces in Mickey 17. 🫣
Mark Ruffalo is in his villain era, and it looks like he’s having fun with it.
I loooooved the little creepers (they were just little Rosies) and was always at the edge of my seat worried about their safety.
This movie felt pretty…
