A Quiet Place: Day One 2024
This was fun but I think it’s scarier when you don’t see as much of the creatures. I love a monster movie but this feels like its own new thing rather than a part of the franchise.

I didn’t connect to any of the characters in this. I actually found them all to be quite annoying. The only time I started to care was at the end, would have loved to see what happened after that ending instead of having so many dance scenes.
I can appreciate what they were trying to do but the dialogue just went nowhere….Climax does a much better job of blending story and dance together.
It was visually really nice though, had some lovely shots and made me want to visit Chile.

Woman of the Hour 2023
Loved the subtle acting from all the women in this, it felt so realistic and relatable of what it’s like when your gut is telling you something is off about someone. Did a great job building suspense. I’m not normally a fan of jumping between timelines but this movie did it really well. Excited to see what Anna does next!

Hmm I have mixed feelings about this but I can definitely see why everyone loves it. I wasn’t a fan of the constant jumping between timelines, or the ending. It felt like it was all building up to that moment, and I had finally become invested in the characters and what was going to happen…then the credits started rolling 🙃
