  It suffers (?) from a somewhat flabby yet perfectly cromulent middle act, the location shooting is gorgeous and baby Bale is unreal good. This is Stevie trying to win a trophy doing David Lean shit, turns out all he needed to do to win was do Steven Spielberg shit.

  Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom 1984

  This is a photocopy of the last time I reviewed ToD, but I'm fairly set in stone on this one. The bad shit, it's still bad and feels worse every time. The first twenty minutes and last half-hour are one of my favorite Steven Spielberg movies of all time. Honestly, if you just edit out the "comic relief" from the banquet scene I probably give this thing five stars. It's the only movie with Short Round in it! Short Round rocks!

  (Also Kate Capshaw is very good in it, yes I'm one of those people)
