parts of it almost feel like a real movie! dialogue is occasionally typical marvel banter but there’s some hilariously grisly kills and fun moments (i am fond of zombie strange) that make up for it. best when you’re reminded who’s behind the camera. continues the mcu tradition of killing off any somewhat memorable female character.

french innovations in making the worst oscar bait imaginable. impeccably bad musical numbers that lack any structure. clunky dialogue in two different languages. maybe worse than crash (2004), it might actually be more offensive somehow and is definitely more pretentious. paul haggis at least doesn’t hold me hostage with another random song with no verse/chorus that contributes nothing to the plot or character dynamics. or portray another country as an infinitely violent guacamole-scented hellscape. at least crash doesn’t have a fucking libretto. couldn’t even laugh when the car blew up. gets 1/2 star for the cool alpine racers 2 arcade machine cameo.
