    My wife wanted to watch this because she was aware of all the drama around the movie (was news to me - Blake Lively making herself a producer on the show, firing the costume designer and wearing her own outfits, and lawsuits around the promotion of the movie), but it ended up being a pretty decent movie honestly exploring the generational impact of domestic abuse. The flower shop depressed me, but I think that was maybe the point? Also the actress for Mona Lisa (from PandR) playing a more serious character was great to watch, still very funny.

    Interesting concept, but terrible execution. Josh Hartnett’s acting (and that of the girl that played his daughter) was the only saving grace for this movie. Otherwise it made no sense and was literally boring.

    Captures the hopelessness and randomness and vastness of war all at once in a sleek, wide, flowing story. Appreciated it more the second time. Cilian Murphy steals all the scenes he’s in, but Mark Rylance has my vote for best actor of this movie, enjoyed every minute of his “side character”.
