Never quite gets on par with the vessel that is carrying the story. It almost intentionally tries to not look The Holocaust and the emotions tied to it directly in the eye. I found that frustrating. Ironically Culkin in Eisenberg are mostly great in this as they themselves get at eye level of each other, facing uncomfortable emotions and conversations throughout their days in Poland.

Sing Sing 2023
A24 while likely burn in the fiery pits of hell for shelving this movie, fumbling distribution in theater and making it even harder to stream.
Nothing to say about the film other than it being a masterpiece. My heart hurts what A24 did to Domingo, Maclin, Whitfield, and the RTA members free and still incarcerated. This is truly a gem on every level and should be seen by all.

There simply isn’t a filmmaker in the game right now like Eggers. He’s in his own tier at the moment.
A few things that stuck out… Although this film takes some interesting turns rhythmically, it’s never distracting. It’s not necessarily new for Eggers to do this, but it’s quite refreshing to see a director at his height never stray away from a vision and story.
I will always admire the research Eggers does and story he ends up creating because…
