Hughie got into the compound v again.

This film is nothing more than it advertises, a silly action/comedy movie that does exactly that. Almost none of the shots are composed with any thought of symbolism, but it didn’t really matter because there was an action sequence going on. Admittedly, it’s a pretty goofy movie, but it works because Jack Quaid is so good at playing a silly guy. Some of the henchman come across as a bit ridiculous but I think…

First thing my dad said to me after the film: “I have no idea what that was about.”

Admittedly, the dialogue can be a bit difficult to follow at times, and I missed my fair share of lines, but this is a good film with the seeds of a great one. First things first, this film is gorgeous. Initially, I was disappointed with the first-person filming, but I warmed up to the style as the film progressed. I will say, I was frequently confused and unable to comprehend exactly what was going on in the movie and that prevented me from fully appreciating the film. I felt that the film did drag a bit and could have been shortened slightly. That being said, the film is definitely worth a watch and draws parallels with the residential schools of Canada
