When my brain eventually clicked that this is a modern day b movie (intentional or not), the flat shots and hokey script became a lot more entertaining.

Joker: Folie à Deux 2024
A sequel to a film that didn't need a sequel, and sadly does nothing to justify its existence. Not a complete car wreck as some are making it out to be, there are a handful of nice sequences in there, and the performances are good across the cast, but over all, meandering, pointless and fairly redundant.
That being said, I've never wanted to physically slap a film's title, so it provoked something at least.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire 2024
Thoroughly entertained by this movie. Admittedly I'm a lifelong fan of the series, so my score is emboldened by some bias, but genuinely had a great time. Has a monster-of-the-week episodic vibe which I quite liked.
The audience I saw it with laughed consistently, and one kid got scared when the big bad showed up and asked their parents if they could leave. That's as good a review as a Ghostbusters movie can hope for.
