    A cross between Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy with compelling acting performances across the board. Fassbender is cunning and careful in his take. Blanchett is coy and at her most seductive. Add in great supporting performances from Tom Burke, Naomie Harris, and Regé Jean-Page and it's a full house. My favorite was easily Marisa Abela. I don't think I've seen her in anything before and she stole each and every scene.

    Thought provoking and also down to earth. I felt like I feel the story shift into a darker second half before it actually got there, but it still managed to surprise and really hit hard on its thesis. 

    In the end, does a little alcohol unleash the true self? Probably not, but man it's a fascinating journey to go on from start to finish. 

    Hot take: Mads Mikkelsen should have been nominated for Best Actor here.
