  Kinda have some gripes with this (main baddie too cartoonish, for example), but some of the gnarly stuff in the last half hour or so kinda made up for it

  Favorite Bong Joon-ho English film, the definition of a blank check (and a love story along with the heavy satire)

  Pattinson is fantastic, another entry into a True Vocal Choice by him (I still think about his "The Boy and the Heron" laugh weekly)

  Ruffalo (though I can see people groaning at him) and Collette are incredibly funny

  Overall, I thought it was "quite solid" but the third act really got me invested in something that was originally creeping me out

  The main thing I can see people disliking is the over-the-top way it is in how unsubtle it is, but that's literally Bong Joon-ho's thing
