really very sweet. I hated max for a while but then I related to him a lot. its such a small scale story but I was never bored or disinterested. and when it occasionally leans into the small tragedy of it all it really hits.
I also really appreciate how grounded the style is in this one. feels like a great middle ground between grand budapest and bottle rocket.

biggest disappointment of the year. by far. an overwrought, glacially-paced melodrama that buries the wrestling to focus on generic biopic family drama. wrestling movies deserve so much better.
this really is the best one, beats temple by a hair. love the setpieces, love the comedy, love getting indy’s backstory.
really some incredible sequences here even tho it drags occasionally, and the holy grail is a great mcguffin.
