Tropey at times but well-shot and maintains palpable tension. Great acting all around, especially the short time that Georgina Campbell and Bill Skarsgard fooled me into thinking this was a rom com.
This adds to the down-bad Detroit lore and unfortunately makes me want to go there even less than I already did (laughing but serious).

I'll be honest, this is probably the worst-acted foreign film I've ever seen. The plot progression is not fluid and its cringey humor made me want to turn it off. The intro scene is the only good part of the movie.
Great practical effects for its time, but that's unfortunately the only positive thing I can say about it. I truly don't understand the hype behind this movie. It isn't scary, there is no character progression (or plot for that matter), and yet people still have this in the upper echelon of horror.
