Howl's Moving Castle 2004
Some of the most beautiful animated portrayal of emotion (additional kudos to the English translation and dub) I’ve seen. I feel like this is one of those movies that can be watched at any time in life and still evoke wonder. Towards the end, I noticed my eyes daze off, breaking focus with the screen, totally engulfed by my own thoughts and memories. I’d like to think that’s a hallmark of a great movie.

These 14 minutes are great proof of the “less can be more” principle. In all seriousness, this is a great watch, in silence, undistracted. Really appreciated the sound choices with headphones on. I think I’ll be watching a lot more shorts soon.
