I was a freshman in college going through my first quarter when this film
dropped.
One of my “well-meaning” college hall-mates thought it would be a good idea to see this movie with his girlfriend and her parents (he’s white). Why? I don’t know. I hadn’t seen it yet. When he returned I asked him what he thought of the movie and he said:
