Definitely one of the hardest films to watch for me in the last few years. It is heart-wrenching to witness the violence on screen, knowing that the carnage is still ongoing and there is no sense of resolution and relief that is going to come at the ending of the film.

All About Love 2010
Another film my mum was obsessed with and she talked about it a lot ages ago. Now I totally get it.
I was surprised by how ahead of the time this film is! Credible, realistic bisexual characters? Check. Wholesome male friendship? Check. Subverting the relationship norm? Check. Mocking lesbians who discriminate bisexuals? Check. And Ann Hui did all of these in such an effortless way without rubbing it in audience’s face. For a film made 10 years ago, it still feels very witty and sharp. God bless Ann Hui
