At turns hilarious, beautiful, and immeasurably sad. But mostly, I'm just glad I don't have to spend time with a single one of these characters in real life. That would be... unpleasant.
Well... maybe Igor. He seemed cool.
I thought it was almost over like 5 separate times, then I'd check how much time was left and just shake my head is disbelief.
Like in most of Shyamalan's later efforts, it's clear that he either doesn't understand or just doesn't give a shit about how the real world operates. That can make the movie feel cartoonish, which... didn't bother me as much as it did some people.
I can't be the only one disappointed that we didn't get a cameo from Mid-Sized Sedan, though.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The warm nostalgic vibes from the first 15-20 minutes spent with the boys really makes the inciting event land as a punch to the gut. Doesn’t stick the landing, but still a very well done indie drama/thriller of the type you rarely see these days.
