I felt this series deep in my body, it elicited such a visceral reaction from me. From the discussions regarding masculinity to the parent’s questioning how much more they could’ve done, this was a complex and emotionally difficult series that was done absolutely amazingly. This is a haunting reality behind the lives of so many people and we need to stop setting masculinity as standard to reach. Toxic masculinity and sexism affect EVERYONE. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl 2015
I love this kind of genre of movies, it felt almost Wes Anderson esque and I LOVED the scenery. I’m just tired of ‘quirky I’m not like the rest I’m so different’ characters.
