Wowee what a compelling noble failure.
So many things to be bemused by here, including the accents/vocal choices, the paper thin yet also leaden script, the limping narrative impetus for most of the film, the jumpiness of certain character choices, and the frequent uneasy balance between tones. Kathy does so much talking and yet her desires and involvement are so unknowable and mercurial.
