(500) Days of Summer 2009
This film was genuinely going to get a 3 until the final 30 seconds. I was so enraged by Summer (fuck summer, all my homies hate summer) that all the great aspects of the film had been washed away, and I was left with nothing but a massive crush and hatred on Summer. But holy shit, those final few minutes crescendoing into the penultimate 30 seconds of this film has made my day and possibly my week.

Rush Hour 1998
Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker go together like the M5 and 10 pints of larger. I’m also certain the director told Jackie to drop an n bomb without explaining what it meant, so not sure how I feel about that. Nonetheless, this is the most I’ve audibly laughed since the last time I looked at my pecker in the mirror.
