Panic Room 2002
Very big Fincher flex, the heir apparent of Hitchcock, a fantastic exercise not only in one-location storytelling but also in camouflaging his ambivalence on surveillance and technology in the plainness of a genre flick (interesting that he did this after Fight Club). Also a fun ride if you miss the turn of the millennium.
Unfortunately I am too traumatized by Haneke's home invasions so I wasn't fully invested. Could have done without Jared Leto for example, he made it seem like the crack version of Home Alone, but then I get it.

Dune: Part Two 2024
I thought it was a bit messy and weirdly edited. In the first film, not only the editing was pitch perfect, but Villeneuve also managed to somehow condense entire chapters in a couple of shots.
This one really gave me a headache and I read the book series twice, so I knew exactly where they were. I'm waiting for the third part but I really think the book is impossible to adapt ... which makes me wonder how Kubrick would've…
