  the love interest stuff is still a bit weirdly integrated but other than that the action filmmaking here is just impeccable; the marquee setpiece the plot is built around was actually breathtaking.

  real muddled 80s-ass thing going on here. does have some real fun sequences though

  bobcat goldthwait's "innocent window" line caught me completely off-guard and actually made me laugh

  Feels trapped between two eras. It has a lot of old school charm but without much 'modern' panache. It's both fun and kind of dry, meandering from plot beat to plot beat.

  As component pieces, this movie isn’t good: it’s a bad heist film, it’s a meandering mess that doesn’t even entertain the central plot element ‘til about an hour in, the setting is a gimmick (hope you like compressed Zoom footage in your feature film) and I find the script kind of insufferable. It’s a tactless rush job for Warner Bros to salvage their streaming service by exploiting a global catastrophe.

  And yet I find it genuinely charming? I honestly can’t explain it. Ejiofor and Hathaway have incredible chemistry and make it work against all odds
