Despite the run-time I found that I was carried along easily and did not feel boredom or the urge to check my phone during the movie. The intrigue and noir elements are to me very immersive. Also Colin Farrell as the Penguin is delightful, as he is in all his roles. In fact Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz and Paul Dano were all very good. These were my positives.

Cyberpunk techno-brutalist philosophical science fiction political thriller. Yes, this is extremely my shit. 2nd watch. Could not properly appreciate the genius of this piece of art on 1st viewing. Was smiling and nodding my head like Jack Nicholson. I admire the tightness of this film, every line of dialogue contains information, there is no waste here (in stark contrast to the 3+ hours of most contemporary Hollywood nonsense in the scifi and especially superhero genres).
