The man sitting next to me who immediately fell asleep and snored the whole time really added to the experience.
I’ve watched this film god knows how many times and the ending still gives me chills. I also completely forgot that Paul Giamatti was in this movie and got way too excited when he appeared on screen.
Beta film bros be like: “Noooo, you can’t watch the remake first!!!!! You have to watch the original then the remake!!! The genius of the 2007 version is how insanely accurate of a shot-for-shot remake it is, and you won’t be able to appreciate that if you don’t watch the original first!! You’re not watching it the way Haneke intended!!! Nooo don’t do it!!!”

I can’t fathom why she chose the jobless freak who had sex with her mum over the hot Berkeley medical student, but each to their own I suppose.
Also, I believe that every romcom would be an automatic 8/10 if Paul Simon did the soundtrack.
