Big fan of the musical. I really wanted to like this adaptation, but never quite got swept off of my feet.
What worked for me:
- Singing was wonderful.
- Jonathan Bailey (despite what he had to work with)
- Whatever glimpses of camp came through. Lots of fun and games.
- Costumes!
- Individual moments - mainly those involving practical sets:
