I like movies, I sometimes review them here. I tend to watch movies I've seen before but I'm trying to explore those I haven't seen yet.

It’s fine in the sense that it managed to not be annoying. But it’s pretty clunky, full of “modern” humor, and it can’t help but over-explain everything. The original Disney animated movie is an all-time classic that let things breathe and is full of whimsical moments. This just doesn’t cut it.

I mean what is there to say about this anymore. Everyone does okay, the CGI doesn't hold up and it's a bit corny. But it's pretty iconic, the sets are nice to look at, and the score holds up supremely well.

Much more campy than the Japanese original. Very odd that Burr plays essentially a background character that is always conveniently finding ways into scenes he has no business in. Clever film-making in spots but it's no way worth watching over the original.

Probably one of the last of what you could consider Disney's "golden age". The voice acting is great, and the songs are memorable. The side-story with Napoleon and Lafayette is a bit cartoonish but enjoyable nevertheless. A movie that is nostalgic for me but I watch it today with the same smile on my face as back then.

The only real negative I dock the movie for is the blatant racist caricature that is the Siamese cat. Without it, it's an easy recommendation.
