A formative experience for me when I first saw it. One of those films that can change your entire notion of what cinema is or can be. I still find it to be one of the most mysterious and moving things I’ve ever seen. In fact, the older I get and the more often I watch it, the more beautiful and profound it becomes. Features one of the greatest images AND one of the greatest cuts in cinema history.

Cheesy and super 80s premise that should have made for a way more fun movie. Instead this was mostly very boring. If you’re looking for the „rough and real“ version of this story, keep moving. This is the kind of expensive, expertly-made mainstream movie that Hollywood used to do so well. The level of craft here is extraordinary, all the actors are great!

I‘d even say this is less of traditional biopic of Dylan and more of a snapshot of a particular moment in his life and career. As a character and as an artist, he remains as opaque as ever. …
